Safety duties:

1. Carry out daily laboratory inspections and eliminate hazards in a timely manner;

2. Follow notices on laboratory safety inspections: stay in the laboratory during inspections and cooperate with the inspection, and complete rectification as required afterwards;

3. Handle the reporting, collection, and disposal of laboratory hazardous waste.

Common laboratory safety issues:

1. Eating in the laboratory is prohibited. No food, beverage bottles, or cups may be kept on the benches, and trash bins must not contain beverage bottles, takeout boxes, or other packaging that indicates eating.

2. Experimental reagents must not be left scattered; make a habit of returning them to their proper places after experiments.

3. Laboratory signage should be posted properly, and personally prepared reagents should be labeled.

For detailed rules, see the Peking University laboratory safety management regulations (in Chinese).
